Requirements:

• Excellent interpersonal communication skills. Creative writing skills preferred.

• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays required.

OCLC Online Computer Library Center, Inc.
OCLC is a nonprofit, membership, computer library service and research organization dedicated to the public purposes of furthering access to the world’s information and reducing information costs. Tens of thousands of libraries around the world use OCLC services to locate, acquire, catalog, lend and preserve library materials. We are currently seeking candidates for a Human Resources Intern position. The work location for the assignment will be in Dublin, Ohio.
The OCLC Diversity and Inclusion Initiative offers internship opportunities designed to provide unique experiences for aspiring college students. The majority of the Intern openings are targeted for members of underrepresented groups as defined in a manner consistent with the EEO-1 race/ethnicity reporting classifications. OCLC will begin accepting applications for the internships on December 6, 2011. Deadline for the applications is February 28, 2012 with a start date in the May/June time period. The OCLC Diversity and Inclusion Internship Program is open to candidates enrolled in an academic degree program (either undergraduate or graduate) at an accredited college or university. All applicants must provide proof of enrollment during the application process and before the internship starts.
Length of assignment: 12 to 24 weeks depending on student availability; preferably 24 weeks.
The Human Resource’s Internship at OCLC is designed to be an excellent learning experience with well rounded exposure to several areas in HR. The selected Intern will be given specific projects to work on with deliverables that are important to department success. In addition, the Intern will help with day-to-day work in several areas to more fully understand each area. We feel that this helps the Intern gain broad experience which will help to determine the HR specialization that will be the best fit for the Intern’s skills and interest in the future.
