A national directory publishing company is looking for graphic design interns. This internship will be hands-on and requires knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop and InDesign). Must also have experience with Joomla and html. Duties will include, but are not limited to: editing photos, using design templates to lay out pages, updating sales and media kit information, organizing design files, burning CDs/DVDs, uploading content to company website, designing and sending e-blast campaigns, and laying out weekly newsletter.

CDI, Inc. (Color Design Innovations) is a digital design and print company located between Henderson & Bethel (on the bus line). Our company is offering full-time or part-time design internships for students and young professionals who want to gain work experience, school credit, or job references in the fields of digital photography, HD video, web design, print design and more. These are unpaid internships. A gas stipend and bonus, contingent on work performance, will be given at the end of the internship and it may lead to a full-time employment position within the company.
You will learn:
- How to shoot digital photography
- How to professionally edit digital photos using Adobe Photoshop CS5 (RAW)
- How to shoot and edit HD digital video using Adobe Premiere CS5
- Create YouTube videos and build video websites for clients using Adobe Dreamweaver
- Design print brochures, business cards and marketing campaigns using Adobe InDesign CS5
- How to create basic HTML websites, plus dynamic websites using Microsoft .Net
- Generate leads and sales through different marketing channels and promotions
NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED! We will teach you everything you need to know.
Although preference may be given to individuals with specific skills in Photoshop, Premiere, Dreamweaver, InDesign, Flash, Java and HTML, we are really looking for creative people willing to learn our process.
Required:
- Good work ethics and ability to show up on time
- Ability to learn quickly and handle high-pressure deadlines
- Very strong written and oral communication skills
- Strong analytical and multi-tasking skills
- Marketing and design majors are preferred, though all majors are welcome to apply

Leukemia & Lymphoma Society
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society is a non-profit organization that raises money for blood cancer research. Specifically, the Pennies for Patients campaign recruits elementary, middle and high schools across Central Ohio to bring in their spare change for three weeks in February and March. We raise over $500,000 through this campaign. I would need someone for summer semester: 5/13/2013- 8/3/2013
The intern would be working on the recruitment mail piece for Pennies for Patients as well as program materials that each participating school is provided. Materials include the Coordinator Handbook and the parent flier (one sent home with each participating student.) Other projects may come up on the different campaigns as well. This is an un-paid position.

This internship will provide additional resources to the Community Relations Department which will allow us to more effectively and efficiently serve our guests and community. Responsibilities include assistance with creation and scheduling of events ads on the entrance sign on grounds monitors, document special events as needed, fill image requests both internal and external, assistance in basic video editing in support of the Distance Learning and Batelle Quest programs as well as support with outside media requests, management of the image database/archive, website image management and assistance with Wilds requests.
Requirements:
• College student in Photography, Videography, Visual Communications, Photojournalism or related program.
• 3rd or 4th year status preferred.
• 3.0 or above accumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale preferred.
• Ability to work on a MAC and PC.
• Proficient use of still and video cameras.
• Proficient use in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premier, Final Cut Pro and Adobe Lightroom.
• Ability to develop and maintain cooperative working relationships with all Zoo team members and contacts regarding company business required.
• Ability to work independently and effectively manage time.

Mills James’ Internship Program
Mills James’ Internship Program allows college students to obtain in-the-trenches work experience to prepare for careers in the creative media industry. Interns can gain practical production and business experience — and frequently school credit — through unpaid internships. The following internship opportunities are available:
Creative Meetings & Events
Intern needed to assist with setup and execution of live events including some grip work. Candidates should have strong interest in theater production and live events. This internship requires the intern to be familiar with current audio visual technology and IT-related systems as they pertain to the production industry. Intern applicants should be at least 18 years of age and willing to work full days around their school schedule.
Field & Studio Production
Intern needed in our Field Production department to assist with our in-house and on-location television production and studio shoots. Intern applicants should be at least 18 years of age and willing to work full days around their school schedule; requires some evening and weekend availability.
Video & Broadcast
Intern needed to provide production assistance for our Video & Broadcast team. Applicants must have good oral and written communication skills, be proficient in Microsoft Office software and have the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Students pursuing a degree in broadcast or communications are preferred. To be considered for this internship, you must be available to work approximately 15-20 hours per week (preferably full days).
Web & Interactive
Intern needed to work in our Web & Interactive department. Intern will assist with various projects on CD/Web design and development. Applicants should have strong software skills including Photoshop and Macromedia products. Must be willing to work approximately 15-20 hours per week.
Marketing/Promotions/Sales Intern
Intern needed to work in our Marketing/Promotions department. Intern will assist our marketing staff with the preparation of promotional materials, internal and external communications, research, special events and special projects. Current college juniors and seniors pursuing a degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism or Marketing are preferred. Candidates must be available 15-20 hours/week.
